昨年12月、PCVは札幌市の高校生240名に対して、平和文化について議論し、多様な視点を理解することの大切さについて学び、被爆者方の証言を聴くなど、広島について学ぶ機会をオンラインで提供しました。
先週、その高校の生徒のみなさんがPCVメンバーをオンラインで集会に招いてくださいました。集会の中では「平和文化とは何か」、学んだことを基に彼らが考えたことを発表してくれました。
プレゼンのテーマはLGBTの権利、食料廃棄の問題、民族間の争い、そして個人の幸せについて考えるものまで多岐にわたります。PCVメンバーと被爆者の田中稔子さんがそれぞれの発表にコメントしていきました。
プログラムの最後には原爆死没者慰霊碑と中継をつなぎ、高校生のみなさんの想いを代表して献花を行いました。
物理的距離は離れていても、生徒の皆さんが届けてくれた平和への想いは私たちにしっかりと届いています。とても多くの学びをプレゼンテーションからいただきました。皆さん、本当にありがとうございました!
Last December, PCV hosted an online Hiroshima learning experience for 240 high school students in Sapporo. They discussed peace culture, learned the importance of understanding different perspectives, and heard the testimony of an atomic bomb survivor.
This past week, those same high school students invited PCV members to an online assembly, where they gave presentations about what they had learned, and about what peace culture means to them.
The presentation topics ranged from LGBT rights to food waste, ethnic conflicts to finding personal happiness.
PCV members and atomic bomb survivor Tanaka Toshiko-san gave feedback on presentations.
The program ended with a live streamed offering of flowers at the Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims in Peace Park on behalf of the high school students.
Despite being separated by distance, the students conveyed their thoughts and desires for peace to us so powerfully. We learned so much from their presentations. Thank you!
