2017年ノーベル平和賞を受賞したICANのインスタグラムにて、PCVメンバーのメアリーとはるきが広島でのお祝いの様子を配信しました。
配信を行うにあたって、PCVとANT-Hiroshimaの若者たち10人で運営を担当しました。
原爆ドーム前では1200個のろうそくに火が灯されて「NO NUKE FUTURE! TPNW 2021」という文字が浮かびあがりました。
市民団体の共同代表を務める森滝春子さんより、条約の発効を祝福すると共に、改めて核廃絶を求めるメッセージが発言されました。
原爆の子の像の前では、IPRAYのメンバーや市内の子供たちが集い、核兵器廃絶のためにヒロシマを継承し、行動することを誓う催しが行われました。
On January 22, the Nuclear Ban Treaty (TPNW) entered into force, making nuclear weapons illegal under international law.
On behalf of 2017 Nobel Peace Prize-winning ICAN, PCV members Haruki and Mary hosted a live stream of the celebration in Hiroshima. They were joined by a group of 10 young people from PCV and ANT-Hiroshima, who managed the logistics of the stream.
Thousands of viewers from around the world participated in Hiroshima‘s candlelight ceremony, heard moving remarks from second-generation atomic bomb survivor Haruko Moritaki, and saw the Hiroshima children of IPRAY perform a song for peace and nuclear abolition.
